Jess McNally

Jess has been meditating since 2009, and spent more than seven studying and practicing Buddhist meditation full-time. She lived 3 years at Zen Mountain Monastery in New York and then shifted to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. During those years, she was ordained as a Buddhist nun in Tibet, and also spent several months in solitary meditation retreat in the Indian Himalayas.

She has studied with dozens of prominent meditation teachers, and her main teachers are Mingyur Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche. She is recognized as a Facilitator in Mingyur Rinpoche’s Tergar Meditation Community, and authorized to teach foundational meditation practices.

Jess is now a lay practitioner and lives in Banff. She works as as science writer and web designer, and also loves to spend time with her dog in the mountains.
