I make my home in Moh’kinstsis (Calgary, Alberta) on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, and the Métis Nation (Region 3). The communities which shape me include the Rocky Mountains on the horizon, Big Blue Skys, the blowing in of Chinook winds, the secret wildflower sanctuary where Rosie (Havanese poodle) takes me most days, the comings and goings of my children’s lives and the neighbours, landscape and wild creatures of Prairie Sky Cohousing Cooperative.
